If you are wondering it’s been me perusing your p90x posts! I am very encouraged by your advice that running and p90x go hand in hand as I had thought I would have to cut way back on running to start. Now I super keen to give it a go, although I think it may go a little like your phase 1 as I can’t bring myself to do the nutrition plan yet….
I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed it! And yes, absolutely I think running and P90X go well together. But… it just takes a bit of sacrificing on both parts. I did less running than usual and maybe skipped one video per week. But a couple double days in there (which can be a bit intense!). I feel that P90X really has improved my running though – which is encouraging :) As far as the nutrition plan goes…. I know I agree! It was really hard to commit to the plan, but in the end I’m super glad I did. You certainly can see results without it – but the amazing results you might see online or on their commercials are due to the nutrition plan. You could always try following the plan during the week and just stick to healthy eating on the weekends? Or do what I did – start out without it and add it later on. Let me know if you have any questions if you get started with P90X!
